What was your favorite part of the Egypt unit? Would you have liked to be an Ancient Egyptian?

My favorite part was studying about the the mummification and the different kinds of symbols in their language, it just seems interesting to me.
I would have hated to be an Egyptian because I would have to either be a slave or a worker, or a pharaoh, which I am not going to have any chance of being. But this chapter was probably my favorite so far. I love studying about Egypt!
I LOVED the Egyptian times. Egypt is my favorite topic in Social Studies. I think it would have been awesome to live in Egypt. You get to learn Hieroglyphics, see the Pharaoh, and see how he lived. I would also learn the truth about all the legends from Egypt.
My favorite part about the Egypt was when I learned how they built the pyramids and I learned that the Egyptians built the first chariot. I would like to be the craftsmen because I like to work with my hands.
My favorite part of the Egyptian unit was when we studied the Nile. The other thing is I would definitely not want to be an Egyptian. I have a good reason why. If I ever was whipped by anyone, bad things would happen to them.
My favorite part of the Egyptian unit was learning about their beliefs and how they were put into action. Their way of thinking was much different than how we think today. So it was interesting to see how they thought. I think it would have been very fun to be an ancient Egyptian because of the way they applied Math and Language-Arts, it would have been nice to learn that way. You would be learning from the masters.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was learning about the mummification steps. If I was a pharaoh, I would not want them to do that to me when I died! I would not want to be an Egyptian back then because it would be hard to make a good living. To make a good living you had to be a scribe, but it takes a lot of determination to be a scribe. There are so many hieroglyphics to memorize and the teachers would be very strict. The Egypt unit was one of my favorites (even though there has only been about three)!
My favorite Egyptian unit was the one about the mummies. I thought that they were very interesting to read about. Like how they put mummies in the pyramids. The process of mummification, that was all interesting to me. I would not want to live in ancient Egyptian times. If you weren’t a noble or a pharaoh, you would have to work a lot. Even if you were a scribe, you would have to work for hours a day for your whole life. I would like to live in the 20th century because you would be able to have allotted of rights. You could express yourself more and people wouldn’t care. Dress in whatever you pleased.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was learning about mummies and the ancient pyramids. The process of mummification, which took 70 days, was extremely interesting. Pyramids were built for the preserved bodies of the pharaohs. It is amazing that the pyramids were built completely by hand. However, I would not have liked being an Ancient Egyptian because most women were not taught to read or write.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was the mummification steps. I think it is very interesting to learn about what they did to the pharaohs after they died. If I was a pharaoh, I definitely would NOT want anyone to do that to me! I think that it is amazing that they do all of that for their pharaohs. I would not want to live in Egypt because it would be very hard to make a living and support your family. You would have to have a good education or be a family member of royalty to get a good job.
My favorite part of the Egyptian unit was learning the mummification steps. I would not want to live in ancient Egypt because if it rains and your house is made out of mud bricks, it may not be able to stand the rains and would leak; possibly fall apart. Another thing is I would not want to be buried in a pyramid because it is hot and I would be alone.
My favorite part about the Egypt unit was the mummification steps. It was neat how they did it, but it was also very gross, because they ripped the brain out with a hook through the nose. I would have liked to be an Ancient Egyptian. I would have liked to be a pharaoh, but when I died I wouldn’t have wanted them to be taking my brain out with a hook through the nose. I would have also loved to be a scribe because they are almost the only people in Ancient Egyptian times that got educated, so that would have been neat to be smart and almost no one else was smart.
I did enjoy the Egyptian unit because of the way they used their surroundings to help them survive. My favorite part was on how they believed in all those gods. What was really interesting was how they mummified the body and how they had to do it perfectly.
My favorite part is when we did the pyramids. I got to see lots of cool pyramids.I wouldn’t like to be an Egyptian because it seemed really boring. I also wonder what they ate.
My favorite part was learning about the steps of how they would do mummfication. I also enjoyed learning about what they would do to the mummy. The best part how they would preserve the body.
My favorite part about the Egyptian unit was learning about the mummification process. It was very interesting to me to see how they took out all the inner organs with the only tools that they had at the point in time. I would have liked to be an ancient Egyptian craftsmen because I love to make things (pots, baskets…etc.).
My favorite part was learning about the mummification process and how they made pyramids. I wouldn’t like to live in Egypt back then because it would be hard to make a good living.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was learning about their culture. How they did things before, what they ate, and their jobs in society. The Mummification process was a very interesting topic to learn about also. I would like to be an ancient Egyptian, I would like to sell my products to other Egyptians.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was learning about the pyramids they made for their dead. Also, the mummification process was interesting. I liked learning about their gods and their religious beliefs. I think that it would be exciting to live in Egypt because of all of their customs. Yet, I think that it would be a lot of hard work, especially since they didn’t have electronics or machines to do the work for them.
My favorite part was learning about the mummification process. I also how like learning about pyramids. I wouldn’t like to live in Egypt back then because it would be a lot of hard work to make a good living.
My favorite part of the Egyptian unit, was when we learn how they built the pyramids in a short amount of time, I do not know how they did that! I would not want to be in ancient Egypt because it sounded like they were mean to the people there and you had to do what they said. It wasn’t a free place where you got to do whatever you wanted to do like here. But I bet some parts were cool like the mummification process.
My favorite part about the Egyptian unit was learning about the mummification process and the pyramids and how they were made and what they were made for. I think I would want to be a craftsperson because I am creative and love making things!
I think that the Egyptian unit was cool because I figured out that the Egyptians cut the hardest rock with normal chisels and a modern day machine can’t cut the rock that they did with normal chisel. I think I wouldn’t want to be an Egyptian because of the sacrifices and the punishments. Even though I wanted to see the pyramids in ancient Egypt when it was being built, I will try to go see the full size pyramids in Egypt one day when I am older and when I have enough money.
The mummification process was my favorite part of the unit. I would like to live in Ancient Egypt because it would be fun to do all the things that they got to do there.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was, learning about the mummification process and how fast it took to make one, single pyramid. I think it would be hard to live back then because, you not only had to find food for yourself but for your family too(if you had one). So I would not want to live in Egypt back then.
My favorite part was learning how to mummify people. I wold not have liked being an ancient Egyptian because all of those people do not have technology. Also I would not want to be a very important person back then because I do not want to be mummified.
My favorite part about the Egyptian unit, was when we were learning about the mummification steps and learning about their different beliefs. I think they had an odd life, but you can notice that they take a lot of pride in what they do. All in all, I would not want to have been an Egyptian because I would have struggled quite a bit with finding food. I like to hunt and all, but I am not exactly the best at it.
My favorite part was learning the mummification process! It was very interesting learning that they had to drain the body. No, I wouldn’t like to be in the Ancient Egypt times because you don’t live for a long time and the women don’t usually get to learn how to read or write!
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was learning about how they lived their lives and how they would be punished if they did something wrong. I also liked the mummification steps because I like learning about what they would do to turn the body into a mummy. I think that I would not like to be an ancient Egyptian because they would have to do a bunch of work and the work they did was really hard.
My favorite thing about the Egyptian unit was learning about the pharaohs and I would not like to be an ancient Egyptian because I don’t want to be a mummy.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was learning the mummification process. I also thought the pyramid building process was interesting! I would not have liked to be an Ancient Egyptian, because the woman back then didn’t have many rights, they didn’t get to learn how to read and write!
My favorite part about the Egyptian Unit was the Mummification process, because it sounds so interesting to here what they did to pharaohs. Sometimes I think about what it would be like to live in Egypt, so I would say it would be pretty cool, but to think about all the hot days. Overall, I really enjoyed the Egypt Unit.

My favorite part of the Egyptian unit was studying the mummies and steps of mummification and I loved learning about the pyramids and what’s in it. I do not think I would like to be an Ancient Egyptian because most of the Egyptians didn’t have much money and some of them served the Pharaohs The Pharaohs treated the Egyptians as a slave. I think if I had to chose, I would chose to be a craftsman.
My most favorite part about the Egyptian unit was when we learned about what they would do when the pharaohs would die. But also I hated it beacause I thought it was really disgusting. I wouldn’t want to be the pharaoh because I wouldn’t be the one wanting to be killed. I would want to be just the rich person also because it would be fun when someone would ask me for some money. I would say no, I know that seems really mean but I’m just like that when I’m angry!
My favorite part of the Egyptian unit was learning about the mummification proccess. I can’t believe they could do it so perfect! I also liked learning how to say all the pharoah’s names. I thought the raps were interesting because it was so funny to watch everyone make a beat and rap to it. I don’t know if I would have liked to live in Ancient Egypt because girls didn’t get good education, but, while the boys were at school, the girls stayed home and learned how to cook, dance, and learn things similiar to that.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was learning about the great pyramids of Giza! I wouldn’t like to live in Ancient Egyptian times because there was not much technology. What I like about modern society is that there is freedom and no slaves. What I also liked about the unit was the mumification proccess that really interested me about all what they did to the body!
My favorite part of the Egypt unit is when the pharaoh becomes a mummy. Another amazing thing is when the pyramid is the pharaoh’s tomb. I think if I was in ancient Egypt, it would be great.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was learning what life was like during the time of the building of the pyramids. It is amazing that the Egyptians can build that huge thing by hand. I would not like to be an ancient Egyptian because there would be a lot of hard work for very little food.
My favorite part was when we took the mummification steps test. I thought it had lots of detail for the Egypt chapter. It helped me understand that Egypt is special.
My favorite part in the Egypt uint was the Egyptian rap and learning about the mumifacation steps. I would not like to be a Ancient Egyptian because I would not like working outside everyday in the blazing hot sun.
My favorite part about the Egyptian unit was learning all the steps the mummification. My favorite step was, the 1st step. The first step was when they take out the mummies brain out through their nose. Also I liked learning about how the masters taught Math and Language Arts.
My favorite part about the Egyptian unit was the mummification steps. Also the interesting symbols that they used which seemed cool. It would probably be a bad idea to be an Egyptian because most likely you would have to work, a lot. You would have to work for lots of people and you would probably work in scorching heat too.
I enjoyed the Egyptian unit, but my favorite part was learning about the scribes. It was an interesting topic because of the way it was done, only learning about the writing all day. I would like to be an Egyptian, but only if I were a scribe or a nobleperson.
My favorite part was when we took the mummification test. I would not like to be in ancient Egypt because not much food or much hospital care.
My favorite part was learning about the mummification ritual. Although it was gross, it was really cool how they did it. If I was and Ancient Egyptian, I would like to be the pharaoh because everyone would look up to you and you would be in charge.
I loved the Egyptian unit. My favorite part was the mummification process like : That they pull out the brains with a hook, take out all the organs and that it takes 72 days for the whole mummification process to end. I never knew how they got the body. I always thought that they just put the body in the coffin after they die.
My favorite part of Egyptian times was the making of the pyramid and the Nile River. I also like the mummification and hieroglyphics. I would not like to be in Ancient Egyptian because I wouldn’t what to be by the Nile River. I also wouldn’t like to be there because I wouldn’t like to walk five miles to get water at the Nile River.
My favorite part, in the Egyptian unit, was doing the rap. It was fun, yet silly and we still had a great time while we learned. I would not be an ancient Egyptian because it was a hot climate and if you weren’t rich enough, then you would be a low class person, and those weren’t particularly good.
I liked the mummification of the dead.
The Egyptians are cool,but I would not want to be one.
I thought the Egyptian Unit was very interesting because of the way they preserved their dead with the hook throught their nose. I personally would not have liked to be a Egyptian because most of the people there died early. To go along with that there was not a lot of food to go around in some parts of the region.
My favorite part was pretty much the whole unit! I love Egypt and I learned a lot of new things about the Egyptians that I didn’t already know. I thought that they just wrapped the dead body in linen. The Egyptians were amazing!
My favorite part of the Egypitian unit was doing the Egyptian rap. I liked doing this because when we were doing it, I learned more about what Egypt life was like. I would like to live in Egypt because being the ruler of Egypt would be awesome or at least a pharaoh.
My favorite part was taking the test. It was very interesting learing about what they do in Egypt! I loved learning about their history, like I said it was interesting! It made me think more about Egypt and it made me want to learn more about it!
My favorite part about Egypt is that it is realy cool to learn their history and how they live. I would like to live in Ancient Egypt for the most part. I wouldn’t like to be whipped by other people.
I liked that we had a test on the steps of mummification because it was very interesting to learn how the Egyptians mummified their dead. I would not like to be an Ancient Egyptian because there was the class system that made the pharaoh #1. Besides, Egypt was constantly taken over and I would not like to be a slave to another country.
The most interesting part of the Egyptian unit for me was the inventions. I would hate be an Egyptian because I would be very cruel, then my sons and daughters would be cruel, and so on and so on. But being a merchant would not be so bad because I would get to see the country and sell, buy, and do a lot of things like float in the Nile River on a boat to ship supplies for other countries.
My favorite part was about the Nubians and their history. The Egyptian history is cool because of all of their wierd beliefs and how they live. I would like to be a merchant. I wouldn’t like to be a pharaoh because I could be overtaken and I wouldn’t like to be too low in the social classes either, I just like to be in the middle.
What I liked about the Egypt unit was the pyramids because the Egyptians built them so well and the fact the blocks were like 1 ton. I would not like to be in Egypt because it’s practically desert and in the morning, it’s scorchingly hot. In the night, it’s really cold.
My favorite part about the Egyptian unit was learning about how they did the mummification process. I thought it was interesting because I didn’t know all those details on how to wrap a mummy. I would not like to be an ancient Egyptian, because that kind of lifestyle for me would be too hard and confusing. That is what I think about the Ancient Egyptian times.
My favorite part about Egypt was the mummification steps. I would have loved to be a pharaoh or a god in Egypt. I wouldn’t want to be whipped or hurt by the people that was higher class than me.
My favorite part of the Egyptian unit was the mummifacation steps, I thought it was really interesting because of how long it takes and what all it takes to prepare the mummy.I would not like to be an Egyptian just because they only lived about 30 years, and sometimes had harsh rulers.
I liked the Egyptian unit and the rap, it was fun getting to stand and sing a little about histiory. I’m not sure if I’d want to be a ancient Egpytian but I think it would be nice if I could be a modern day one. I also think that the mummification was really interesting because they believed in the after-life.
I liked the mumification lesson although it was gross. I wouldn’t want to be an ancient Egyptian because it seems so religious. I wouldn’t want to always be praying! Wouldn’t they have something better to do?

My favorite part was learning about the double crown. It was astonishing how they joined the two crowns together. I also liked learning about the different kings and how at least one or two of the kings were women. I couldn’t believe how young a king could be. I would love to be an Ancient Egyptian because people would like to learn about me and what I did. They would also be able to know what it was like where I lived and what other people around me did.

MY favorite part of the Egypt unit was learning about mummification and how it is done. I also liked decoding the hieroglyphics. Rather I would like to live in ancient Egypt would depend on who I would be. If I was in the higher classes, than I would. But if I was in the lower classes, I would not want to live there.
I liked learning about the mummification proccess. It was very interesting to learn about the labor the Egyptians put into preserving their dead. Also, I dont think I would want to be an Ancient Egyptian. I might if I were not a slave.
I really liked Egyptian unit. The most interesting thing to me was the mummification process we did in class. I thought taking out the organs would be really gross! I really liked the rap too. I don’t think I could have lived in Ancient Egyptian. I wouldn’t like the Nile River flooding.
My most favorite part was probably learning how they lived. It was very interesting and different. I do not think I would like to live in Egypt.I like to control myself not have people controlling me.

I thought the most interesting part of learning about the Egyptian unit was the mummification process. It was very interesting to me how they took out the brain and how sacred they took it to be. I think living in Ancient Egypt would have been a nightmare, because they took everything so realistically, and they worked too hard and had too many problems and invasions all the time. I guess it would be interesting, though.
My favorite part about the Egyptian unit was probably the raps or just the the things we learned that were interesting. I would not want to be an Egyptian because first of all, I like my life how it is and because I doubt I would be at a very high rank. I would probably be a slave or a farmer or something not very highly ranked.
The most interesting thing about Egypt was about the pyramids and pharoahs. Life would be hard because of all the slaves and work they did.
My favorite part about the Egypt unit was learning about the mummification steps. I believe that it was very special to praise their pharaohs like that. I would not like to be in ancient Egypt because if I was learning to be a scribe, I would not be able to remember all the letters. It would be pretty interesting living in ancient Egypt though because I want to learn more about Egypt.
I liked the Egpytian times. The interesting part for me is the mummification. I would not like to live in Egypt because I wouldn’t build a pyramid.
My favorite part of learning about ancient Egypt was when we talked about the mummification process. I would not like to be an ancient Egyptian because we wouldn’t have computers, PS3, PSP’s, or Xbox 360’s. It wouldn’t be that fun because in the winter when you couldn’t go outside and play. You would have to sit around and do nothing the whole winter.
My favorite part of the Egyptian unit was building the pyramids for extra credit. I also liked the mummification process. I would not like to be an ancient Egyptian because I would not want to build all of those pyramids.

My favorite part was learning about how they made mummies. That is weird. I wouldn’t like to be an Egyptian because I probably wouldn’t like digging out people’s organs. I also would not like to carry a boat around a waterfall.
My favorite part of the Egypt chapter was when we got to watch the video of the pyramids. I would want to be a scribe. Also, I would help the slaves!
The thing I liked the most about the Egyptian unit was when we learned about the Great Pyramid. I thought it was interesting how they built the Great Pyramids. I would not want to be a part of the Ancient Egypt society because it sounds kind of cruel and very hard-working.
I would like to be a scribe because you get to write about what is going on. I would like to be in both regions.
My favorite part of the Egypt unit was building the extra credit pyramid, because, in doing so, I learned a bit about it. I would really like to be an ancient Egyptian because I would like to know how they built their pyramids so quickly and perfectly, as it really intrigues me.
I liked it when we had to learn how about the social life on Egypt. When we took our test, it was very easy and fun. When we had to watch the videos about Egypt and see how scribes work, I liked it.
I think that the most fun part about it was the Egyptian rap. That was one of the most fun things we did in social studies. It would have been fun being an Egyptian because of all the early technology that they used that is superior to ours right now.
My favorite part was the Egyptian section this year. It was actually interesting to watch the mummifcation video and the video about scribes and other workers. I hope that Europe or China will be more exciting then this section.
My favorite part in Egypt is the mummification. I would not like to be in Ancient Egypt because iIwould like to build a pyramid.
My favorite part about the Egyptian unit was how we learned what the hieroglyphics meant and how they always had to work. I would like to learn how to write in their writing. It seems very fun to write or learn.
I wouldn’t like to be a Egyptian. One because of all the work they had to do and two because I might have to work like that and I wouldn’t like it at all!

My favorite part about learning about Egyptian life was learning about the heart and the feather scale, and the whole ‘brain through nose with a hook’ thing. I also liked learning about Anubis…the god of death. :3
I wouldn’t like too be an Egyptian because I think that some of the things they did weren’t the most of educated…but SOME of their things were pretty smart.
Ithink the best part was when we sang the Egyptain raps. If I was an Egyptian, I would be a Pharaoh.
My favorite part was the Egyptian mummy part. I thought it was really exciting. I would not have liked to live in ancient Egypt, because I would not be able to worship my God like I need to. Instead, I would be forced to worship the king. I loved the Egypt series and WILL read it again, over and over.
My favorite part of the Egypt quarter was learning about the pharaohs and the way they were mummified. The reason I thought it was so interesting is because they loved their kings so much that they spent 70 days working on them when they were dead. I don’t think I would have wanted to be in Egypt times, because if you messed up on something simple, you would be in a lot more trouble with the ruler then you would be in now days. You didn’t have freedom of speech and the king made you do whatever he wanted you to do.
My favorite part of Egypt was all of their exciting traditions such as mummification. I would definately like to live in Ancient Egypt because all of the excitement and things going on.
I would love living Egypt because of all the interesting things going in there like the pharaoh and his building projects. But if you mess up on one little thing, the consequences are deadly.
I enjoyed making the extra credit pyramids. I`d like to be an artisan because one of my favorite hobbies is art.

My favorite part of the Egyptian unit was to practice with your friends, and perform for the class. I would not like to be an Egyptian. If I had to be an Egyptian, I would probably be a Noble or Priest.
My favorite part was making the extra credit pyramid, and learning about mummification. I didn’t even study for the test and I got a 100. Then we got to do the clicker review and I only missed two things. Looking up the test questions was easy.
The Nubians and the Egyptians are allies at war. They’re allies because they trade with each other also. They are both polytheistic.
My favorite part was when we got to learn about the pyramids. I think it would be hard to survive in the desert and live by the Nile because of the nature. Yhe up side would be it would water the crops and give us food.
My favorite part about the Egypt Unit was learning the mummification steps because I thought that was very interesting to honor their Pharaoh by burying him in the tomb that the slaves built.I would not want to live in Egypt because you wouldn’t live as long as we do today and I want to live my life as long as I can.
I thought the Egyptian Unit was very interesting. I dont know what my favorite part was, since I’m practically obsessed with Egypt, but I do know one thing… I had fun learning about Egypt, and I wish I could have kept learning about it. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen. I would of enjoyed being an Egyptian. Perhaps a noble or a priest. Even if I was a slave, being surrounded by all that sand, and seeing some of the most creative, and beautiful things man has ever built, that would be a very high honor to me. I may sound crazy, but it’s true.
My favorite part of the Egyptian unit is learning about the way they lived and their religion. Also, how many kings they had.
I liked studying about mummification and the symbols. It would be interesting to be a pharaoah…. and I wish we used the symbols that they used back in the day. We are taught today that when you are dead, they put you in a coffin and leave. In Egypt, they do all these steps and I thought that was interesting.
My favorite part was when we did the Egyptian rap. I don’t wish to be an Egyptian because of all that heavy lifting.
My favorite part about Egypyt was how they mummified the pharaohs. It was interesting the way they took out the brain wth a hook through the nose. I would love to be in Egypt the way their lifestyle is. I would also like being rich like a pharaoh.
